In the mid-1980s, PTC redefined computer-aided design software, and by extension the way products are designed and manufactured. In June of 2010, PTC promised a breakthrough technology that would once again redefine mechanical CAD and product development around the globe.
There was no name for the product that was still being developed.
No strategy for the marketing.
And, a phone call to Mechanica.
And so began our partnership with PTC. An intense, parallel path collaboration of research, positioning, naming, launch event planning, contact strategy, viral teaser videos, and user engagement, all leading up to a critical global launch. And from there, ongoing marketing, ranging from integrated global print and online, to a series of documentary films shot around the world.
Called “The single most successful launch in the company’s history” by CEO Jim Heppellman, the product suite that would be called “Creo” has helped recast PTC as one of the fastest growing technology companies today. One Mechanica is proud to continue working with on both product and corporate marketing initiatives.
